Dirty Bit'...

I got out of bed in plenty of time to shower yesterday, but chose not too. Something about getting all wet and having to start the whole process of getting ready for work from scratch really turned me off. Instead, I made a cup of coffee, picked up around the house a little, and then, 15 minutes before I had to walk out the door I put it in high gear. My hair was dirty (but not too dirty, I washed it on Monday) so I went over my bangs with a straightener. The rest of my hair had a huge dent in it from sleeping with it in a ponytail, so instead of fighting to straighten it out, I put a couple of strategically placed curls in it to work with the dent. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, threw on long pants (and sleeves) to hide the fact that I had not shaved in a couple of days, put on black head to toe, and off I went. Some days you are just not feeling it. Yesterday was one of those days. I love this blazer though. Although I could not help but feel that I looked a little like a waitress at a fancy steak house. "Good evening. Do you have a reservation with us? Would you like a booth or a table? What can I get you to drink? See...I still got it. All those double shifts at Aunt Millies in Dunkirk, NY paid off. I am still the "hostess with the mostess".
