YO, YO, YO.... I haven't done an outfit post in a while, have I? What a sorry excuse for a style blog. I am actually getting dressed in real clothes tonight though (as opposed to the yoga pants I've been rotting in all day today while working from home) to attend FRONT ROW CHARLOTTE. I can't wait for the event. It's an awesome concept and I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. In the meantime, I wanted to share a video that has really touched me. The video hasn't gone viral (yet) and you may not recognize the name, Emma Kay (yet) but it is eerily beautiful. The music, the production, the videography, her voice... all of it. There is no doubt that I am biased. Emma is my little cousin. She lives in a small town in Upstate New York and music is her passion. Her dream. Her calling. I don't know about you, but I find it pretty damn inspiring when I see someone just GOING FOR IT, you know? Putting themselves out there... taking "the road less traveled". They say that everyone dies, but not everyone lives. Isn't that the truth!? Emma, my love, you are living... really living. It's not going to be easy, but it WILL be worth it. I'm so proud of you and I love you thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much.
Welcome to my personal style blog. My hope is that what you see from my closet inspires you to dig through yours to find new life in what you have and how you wear it. Of course what you have on doesn't define who you are, but it can make you feel better and sometimes all we need in order to do better, is to feel better. Friends often tease me by saying that I dress as if every day is a special occasion. To which I reply..."because it is".

I am always so jealous when people have the skill to sing. Your cousin has a great voice and I keep my fingers crossed that she will continue singing and beeing successful with it, but as you said its a hard business with lots of great talents out there.
