Holy eyebrow pencil, Batman. One thing about having your picture taken numerous time a week is that you become keenly aware of certain things that you wish you stayed oblivious to. Example A...my eyebrow pencil is waaaaaay too dark today. I mean, really. I realize that my eyebrows are brown and that they contrast with my (highlighted) blonde hair (and I like it that way), but I'm going to need to do better. There is no good reason for me to have eyebrows this dark. Clearly I am due for a threading (if you have never had your eyebrows threaded, it is awesome, way better than wax in my opinion). I must have filled in the brows a bit darker than normal in an attempt to detract from all of the growth underneath. Check out the second to last photos and you'll see what I am referring to. Today it was 77 degrees in Charlotte. Yup...I said it...77 degrees in February. It was gorgeous outside and it gave me some serious spring fever. I put on a bright orange skirt and a very "springy" tank top that I would normally reserve for summertime. I actually noticed another local blogger had a similar shirt on today. She found hers at Petal on East Blvd. (for about $38.00); I found mine last year at F21 and it was $10.50. SCORE! If you like the print on this top though, check out Petal's version. You can find it here on their website. It is a totally different top, but very cute. Okay...I have to run. I promised myself that tonight's project was going to be cleaning off the top of my dresser. Oh...that does not seem like a big deal? Yeah, to normal people it wouldn't. However...my dresser is where I keep 3/4 of my accessories. You can find rings, necklaces, bracelets, hats, and headbands on it. I have not seen the wooden surface in over a year. It is bad. Actually...perhaps I will document the process to show you just what I mean. Stay tuned, Mamacitas!

  1. LOL. Great post today Mel. I guffawed out loud when I noticed your snake ring. I have one EXACTLY like it. Uh-huh. Sure do. However, I retired it and only bring it out at Halloween. On you, Ms. Fashionista,, you make it work...I am in awe. I need an intervention. And I think it's you. ;o) I am ready to commission. LMK when you are ready to charge. But I have 90% gray and black and white. I will be the biggest challenge ever.
