Sunshine, daydream, walking in the tall trees, going where the wind goes. Blooming like a red rose, now come on over sweetly, ride out singin', "I got you in the morning sunshine."Those are lyrics to a Grateful Dead song entitled...you guessed it "Sunshine Daydream". I think of that song every time I wear this shirt. I wore this yesterday. I started the morning out by wearing this skirt and a hot pink shirt. The shirt was getting on my nerves (it was really billowy, almost "hippieish") and although I like it, I did not like it with this skirt. So...I swapped it out for this bright yellow number. I had already had the shoes and jewelry on (which went with the other shirt of course) and I thought I'd need to change it all out quickly, but once I looked in the mirror I kind of liked the 3 very different colors all together...yellow, navy, and hot pink. My little take on color blocking you could say. As for the jacket, I grabbed it quickly as I was walking out the door. I don't really "love" the neutral jacket with all of these bright colors, but it was a bit cold and windy outside and I didn't have time to think about an option that I would really like. I did not sport this (incredibly awesome) bright pink lipstick all day at work, but I like to think of lipstick as being similar to alcohol consumption. It may not be socially acceptable all of the time, but as long as it is brought out after 12 Noon we are good to go. (Is that wrong?) Although I like this bright outfit it was no where near the fashion highlight of my day. After work I met my (soon-to-be) sister-in-law and we took a field trip to Nordstroms where we found the world's most perfect bridesmaids dress for her wedding. Well, it's actually not a BM dress at all. It is just an awesome, beautiful, elegant dress that I adore and...wait for it..."you can wear it again". I know all brides like to make that claim, especially if their girls are going to drop a few hundred dollars on the thing, but with this one...you really can! I am actually a very lucky bridesmaid this year. I am in 2 weddings (for 2 of my 4 brothers) and I get to wear two great dresses. The other one actually matches this lipstick perfectly....SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!!!!
Oh...and don't forget to scroll down a few posts to sign up for your chance to win a bunch of Marthe Pinaire goodies (just like the earrings I am wearing here). Takes 5 minutes and it's FREE!!!!
