A weekend away with friends in Gatlinburg, TN inspired this look. While I was packing I imagined how beautiful it was going to be up here with all the leaves changing and turning from green to bright yellows, oranges, and deep reds and threw an outfit together that brought some of those seasonal colors together. This dress is perfect to go to dinner or out in. It has a flowy cut out sleeve...very 1970s Stevie Nicks (my favorite Fleetwood Mac song and the fact that I was leaning against falling rock inspired the title of this post). The dress falls straight down so it doesn't hug you in any of the wrong places (feel free to eat and drink whatever you want in this number...no sucking in required ;). I wore it with nude shoes so they didn't compete with any of the other colors I was wearing; and as always, if you choose a shoe close to the color of your skin it will help elongate your leg and give the illusion of height. These days my legs are looking pretty pasty, so, unfortunately for me that meant that I chose the lightest pair of nude shoes that I own (this would also look awesome with some camel colored knee boots or booties though). I paired a deep red, almost purple hued (p)leather jacket with the dress since it was cold outside and grabbed a clutch that matched the jacket almost perfectly. The long feather earrings have the color of the dress and the color of the jacket in them. I piled gold, brown and gemstone bangles on top of my tortoise shell watch (keeping the sleeved arm bracelet-free), threw on a couple obnoxiously large rings on and went out the door! Shout out to my brother's girlfriend, Brie, for the gift of the wood and gold ring. I love it. :)
