Dishing Out Scissor Kicks

I have not blogged in 5 days, so you may have thought that I would have come a little stronger than black and white from head to toe. But, I didn't, so this is what you get. Corporate America friendly, basic black and white. I did a little something, something with the stripes, polka dots, and leopard print shoes though... don't cha think? No? Well, I also added a puffy vest. You may be thinking that a puffy vest does not really "go" with this outfit, but whatever. It is a "nice" puffy vest. If a puffy vest could be considered "dressy" this one would be. The reason I wore the vest though as opposed to a real coat is because this blazer makes me feel like my armpits are sweating. Really. I mean, I pulled the lapel out and stuck my nose in my blazer enough times today to check, so I can assure you that I was sweat-free. But, I had anxiety about it all day. I wasn't going to add to that frustration by putting another layer of fabric over my stressed out armpits.

Random things that have been on my mind: 

1. I need a recommendation for a good book to read. I like books that are epic. That make me feel emotion, or leave me inspired. Suggestions? (If you would be so kind as to leave a comment,  just sign in with your g-mail account, it's not that difficult. Hit Google Account from the drop down, sign in with your normal e-mail and password, and your comment will publish. That's a pain in the @$$, I know, but I really need suggestions, so help a sister out.)

2. Pet Peeve- When people change their relationship status to "single" on Facebook and that change ends up as a status update in everyone's news feed. Immediately people start leaving comments saying, "I'm sorry". WHAT THE HECK IS THAT??? I am sure that they mean well and all, but who wants to hear that. "I'm sorry"? Why are you sorry? What if the person making the status change was the one initiating the break up? What if the person they broke up with was a tool, or a decent person, but just not right for them. What if they were a fun-sponge, a dream-stomper, or just plain old not nice? It's possible that if someone is single, it is because they CHOOSE to be that way. They do not need you to tell them that you are sorry, like some one died. Don't insinuate that they are less of a person if they are single. "I'm sorry"AGH. Infuriating. I want someone to write back some day and say... "No need for you to be sorry for me. I am liberated. You on the other hand have committed to hang out with someone who sucks. It is I, who am sorry for you". BOOM. (Sorry for the rant, I just saw this happen today and I wanted to virtually scissor kick 3 people on behalf of my recently single friend).
